Manchester Indie Restaurant Tour – Winter Edition

I launched a new experience in 2026: A Manchester indie restaurant tour!

Manchester’s dining scene is better than ever, I know this very well as a food and drink writer in the city for the past seven years.

We are spoilt for choice, and sometimes it’s hard to pick just one restaurant for your special occasion. So why not come with me to three of the best in one evening?

With my Manchester indie restaurant tour, you can do just that. Hosted by your local restaurant expert and acclaimed food and wine writer Kelly Bishop (that’s me!), your small group will be guided around three of the city’s most celebrated independent restaurants for a six-course dining experience.

Bringing some light to the darker months of the year, this carefully planned winter restaurant tour is a seasonal experience celebrating the best local produce the city’s culinary scene has to offer in some of my personal favourite restaurants.

Restaurant 1 – champagne with snacks, starters, cocktail

Restaurant 2 – second course, main course, glass of wine with each

Restaurant 3 – dessert, cheese, matched drink

We’ll meet at 5:30 pm and walk to the first venue where you will enjoy champagne and snacks, followed by a starter and a unique welcome cocktail.

Then we’ll head to venue two for second course, followed by a warming, wintry main both with a glass of wine (or AF alternative if you prefer).

We’ll taxi to the final venue to finish our meal with both dessert and cheese (I don’t want to have to choose one or the other, and neither should you have to) and another paired drink.

The whole experience takes around four hours. The ultimate dining treat.

All dishes, five matched drinks (AF if you prefer), and transport are included in your ticket price. You don’t have to worry about a thing as I will take care of everything in advance. All you need to do is relax and enjoy the company of your small group of fellow foodies.

There are a very limited number of seats available to book for this small-group experience, with just six seats at the table for each event, which will take place from January to March 2026. I am starting with just three events.
